Tier 2 BoP loadout

Here's some stuff on weapons and power allocations to use on a Tier 2 BoP:

Why a BoP:

Battlecloak - Very useful when trying to get away from Feddies in PvP
Universal Consoles - You can have whatever crew you want.

Bridge Officers:

One tactical officer - High Yield Torp, Cannon Rapid fire
One science officer - Tractor beam
One science officer - Jam sensors (PvP or PvE)
Or One engineer officer - Aux power to shields (PvE)

Energy loadouts:

Combat config: 90 weapons, 25 shields, 70 engine, 25 auxiliary

This lets you do tons of damage, while still being able to hit Evasive maneuvers and get away. You don't need shield boosts since you can destroy something before your shields are done.

Weapons:

Two cannons on the front (disruptor or plasma, just keep them the same)
Torpedo launcher
Turret on the back

Beam weapons do less damage, and for PvP less damage = quicker death. Cannon weapons are most effective under 5km, keep that in mind.

Consoles:

Get two tactical consoles that bump either your disruptor damage or plasma damage.
Science console to improve your tractor or jam sensors

Tactics for PvP

With the above setup, the best tactic is a rear assault. When the ship is cloaked you should close the distance to 5km. Decloak and fire off the jam sensors. This will stop them from targetting you. Then you throw on a tractor beam to stop them from turning around. Then just blast away with everything including the rapid canons (which effects turrets too) and the high yield torp.

If you start to loose your shields, throttle up and fire off evasive maneuvers. This will get you out of range in a couple of seconds and then you can cloak. DO NOT cloak if your being pummeled. You will only die quicker.

Also, if you are attacking with a group, try and attack from multiple angles. It confuses the feddie players. Rear attacks make it harder for them to target you too.

Tactics for PvE
(Empire Defense)

Keep shooting and try and stay within 5km.

The BoP has always been my favourite Klingon ship, so I intended to fly one pretty much throughout and this post is very helpful for those who intend to fly one.
